Day 25 – In God We TrustFriday August 17The little hand was pulled tightly in a fist, as if it was holding on with all its might. Then suddenly the Lord’s huge open hand appeared right next to it. And He spoke: “If you will let go of what’s in your hand, I will give you what’s in mine”. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts
in you. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, Trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship. How much we trust
depends on two things: how well we know someone’s character and our history with
them. If we don’t know someone well, it can be difficult to trust. And if we
have trusted but we have been disappointed, hurt or betrayed, it can be harder
to trust that person or even someone else, again. Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 What is death? It is the ultimate expression of loss. If we fear loss in any area we enter into bondage in that area and our discernment - our ability to hear the voice of God clearly – becomes compromised because of the mixture with this voice of fear. That is why the enemy seeks to subtly seed this fear deep in our hearts until it becomes a powerful voice driving us, vying with the voice of the Lord for the control of our lives. What the fear of loss speaks to us is the lie that God is unable to protect that which is most precious to us in order to convince us to take things into our own hands. Why? Because the enemy knows that whatever we leave in hand of the Lord the enemy is powerless to touch. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one. John 10:27-30 If the enemy cannot snatch us from Jesus’ hand, then neither can he take from us anything we have given into the Lord’s hand. This is why it is so important that we learn how to release back into God’s hands every good thing He gives us, trusting that He is able to keep it and to bring everything to perfect fulfillment in the right timing. I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. 2 Timothy 1:12 Throughout this consecration call the Lord has taking us back to the foundations – to our revelation and knowledge of Him. For us to trust Him, we must know whom we are believing. God has been giving us revelation that He is a loving and compassionate God, who is Holy and Above All the power of the enemy, and who is faithful and true to His word. God cannot lie – He is not a son of man that changes His mind. What He has spoken He will act to see fulfilled because He is watching over His word to perform it. When the truth of God’s character and His love for us gets deep in the foundation of our hearts, then every voice of fear will be silenced because “perfect love casts out fear”. (1 John 4:8) It is a new day! God is rolling away the reproach and shame of the past season and releasing us from the slavery and bondage to fear of loss. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God. There is a window of grace open right now over our lives, our families, our churches, our cities, our provinces/regions and nation for redemption and restoration of all the enemy has stolen as we choose to release into God’s Hand every precious thing in our lives. Can plunder be taken from warriors, But this is what the LORD says: "Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, Let’s pray this prayer together. God I thank you for the truth of Your word setting me free. Lord I ask you right now to flood my heart with light and expose any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold in my heart through a fear of loss. Lord I ask that into all these areas you would pour a greater revelation of Your perfect love that casts out fear. God I want to declare, by faith, that you are a trustworthy God who is able to keep and protect everything that I give to you. Father I come against the lies of the enemy that would try to tell me that I must hold on to or try to protect all the things that are important in my life. Father I choose today to release every precious thing in my life – my family and loved ones, my dreams, visions, calling and destiny- into Your hand. Jesus I know that you are the Good Shepherd and that no one can snatch anything out of Your hand – God deepen this revelation of your nature and character in my heart and life. Father I choose to let go and let God – I choose to let You take care of all that concerns me. I choose to trust in Your goodness and say “All my times are in Your hands”. In Jesus name, Amen. Deeper is a simple song which we can sing as cry from our heart to the Lord to take us deeper into a revelation of His heart that He might cut any ties to any voices that want to hold us from our sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
