Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of
what we do not see.
Spiritual
people aren’t moved by what they see in the natural.
While
natural affirmation is good and encourages us that we are on
the right path, God is stirring us, as a church in Canada,
to come up to a higher level of faith. This is a faith that
cannot be moved because we know that we have heard the voice
of the Lord. So no matter what intensifies in the natural,
we aren’t affected by it.
This is
the faith for which the ancients were commended.
All these people were still living by faith when they died.
They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them
and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that
they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such
things show that they are looking for a country of their
own. If they had been thinking of the country they had
left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead,
they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he
has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:13-16
It’s time
that the spiritual realm became more real to us than
anything around us.
It’s time
we look at the big picture beyond our own lifetime and see
that we are part of a procession of faith that began with
Abraham. It’s beyond seeing the answers for ourselves. We
have a responsibility to see that the “chain of faith” of
generations remains unbroken on our watch. It’s time for us
to release our faith with wild abandon, knowing that even if
we don’t see the manifestation in the natural in our
lifetime, then our children will see it or our children’s
children will see it.
We can
possess our promises, now, today. By choosing to walk in
our spirits, we can step beyond this earthly realm with its
constraints of time and come to the place of knowing that
God’s word will not return void – it will go forth to
accomplish the purpose for which it was sent.
Prayer Points and Practical Actions
1)
What are
the promises that God has given you personally, for your
life and family? Take some time today, to recall and even
write out these promises as they are your own personal
covenant with God. Commit to the Lord that you will stand
in faith, unwavering, believing that not one of His words to
you will fall to the ground, but everyone will be
accomplished.
2)
Let us
together declare what we know the Lord has spoken to us
about our nation and that is our inheritance and promises.
a.
Lord we
thank you that your word over Canada is Psalm 72:8 – “He
shall have dominion from sea to sea”. Lord we declare today
as a church in Canada, that your
Dominion, your unhindered authority over our nation from sea
to sea.
b.
Lord we
thank you for your word over Canada from Rev
22:2 And
the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Lord we thank you that you have destined Canada to be a
model and an example of how your Glory can rest in a nation
once again.
c.
Lord,
thank you that You are preparing
Canada to be a resting place for Your Glory. We know that
many faithful prayer warriors over generations have sowed
and prayed and cried over this land. We thank you that you
said we have struck the ground enough times now and you are
about to give us a glimpse of Your glory that we might be
one as You and the Father are one.
