Day 5 - Friday June 17
On Daddy's Knee

In the vision I saw a little girl playing hide and seek with her father. She had her eyes closed, but was listening intently for his footsteps. He came to his daughter, sat down with her, then lifted her onto his knee. She immediately yielded to his tender embrace and cuddled into him. She looked earnestly into his face, keen to hear her father's words. He said, "Sweetheart, you don't have to play hide and seek to find me -- I will come when you call."

Did you know that in the same way God our Father really does want us to spend time with him?  It's not a game, although it is delightful, and it isn't a burden for Father to respond to His children. He loves it when we call His name! He longs for us to draw near and receive His embrace.  (Katharine Brown)

Take some time now for the following:

Close your eyes and picture yourself on Jesus’ knee. Wait a minute and let it sink in. What do you feel? Now let him touch your ears.  Watch as He removes from your ears lies that have been spoken over your life, or lies that you have believed.

·         You are a loser God can never use you.

·         You are too________

·         God is not strong enough to heal our land…just look at the news.

·         Etc.

Now watch as he puts something new into your ears, something called FAITH.

·         But now thus says the Lord, your creator, he who formed you, …I have called you by name you are mine! (Is.43: 1)

·         In this world you will have trouble BUT I have overcome the world

·         For I the Lord do not change. Mal.3: 6

Do you hear His heart beat stronger now?  Ask Him to tell you how much He loves you and any other secret He wants to share with you.  Rest, wait and listen with your heart.

Be assured that He loves you, wants the best for you and will see you through every step of the way!!  Speak these words out loud now and ask the Lord to place these words in your heart and mind.

I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;

I will take hold of your hand.

And I will keep you

Isaiah 42:6

Thank you Lord for calling me, ________, to know You.  Thank you that I can rest in your arms no matter what happens around me. Thank you for loving me and walking with me in the things that You’ve planned for me to do long ago. Amen
