The Promise Gathering – Ottawa – July 22-25, 2009
From July 22nd to 25th, the Body of Christ from across Canada will gather in Ottawa. The Promise Gathering will be a time of both celebrating the milestones of our ten-year journey and positioning ourselves before the Lord in humility and brokenness to seek His face that He might transition us into a new season of seeing His Kingdom and His spiritual governmental authority released in our nation.

12 Stones: Building an Altar of Thankfulness
As we prepare for The Promise Gathering and reflect back on the last 10 years of our journey, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to the Lord for His love and faithfulness. As a way of honoring the Lord and all He has done, for the 12 weeks leading up to the gathering we are going to build a virtual “memorial altar of thankfulness” composed of the “stones of remembrance”, our stories and testimonies of the many times the Lord met us at pivotal moments in the journey.

Stone 8 – The Kelowna Covenant
“For the sake of His Son the Lord wants to do something deep in us.  And that’s what I believe He is saying to us ‘as you walk in obedience in these three days I’m about to birth something in this nation, you will see it.  If you obey Me.”

Stones of Remembrance Prophetic Journey: A Procession of Thankfulness
In 1999 the Lord asked believers from across the nation to bring stones with them to the Winnipeg gathering as a memorial of our repentance. (Click here to read the full account of the stones).  These stones were a witness to the grace and mercy of the Lord as we “crossed over” from judgment to favour.  And now the Lord has spoken to us that He wants these same stones to also be a witness of the next transition this summer – as we begin to experience a release of God’s authority to establish His spiritual Kingdom in our nation.  So as a prophetic picture of our journey as a nation, the stones will be moved by special procession from Winnipeg to Ottawa.
